180 South

In our attempt to find another sailing movie (which is surprisingly hard by the way) we came across this on Netflix.

The film follows adventurer/slacker/dirt-bag (that’s what they actually call him) Jeff Johnson as he retraces the epic 1968 journey of his heroes Yvon Chouinard (Patagonia’s founder) and Doug Tompkins (founder of North Face) to Patagonia. Here is the IMDB review. Not a film about sailing per se, but Jeff crews a on a sailing vessel to get south, unexpected adventures on the boat occur, and there is some great scenery to enjoy.

The sailing movie selection is getting pretty thin. I think we have gone through all the ones available on Netflix, and all we have left now are recommendations that result from previous Amazon rentals or purchases. Any other locations?
